Women’s Day- How Not To Hate Each Other

H.L. Menken described a misogynist as, ‘A man who hates women as much as women hate one another.’ Do we actually dislike each other? My closest friends have belonged to the opposite sex, therefore, I believed my opinion on this topic was rather skewed. Last year we ran an online campaign, ‘The Feminine Code’, on how women should treat each other and by and large we all seemed to agree that we were not kind to each other and we should be. A number of my friends sent their rules for the sister code. These were mine-

#1 Let Your Work be About Celebrating The Feminine Energy.

#2 Stand Up For The Women You Know Not Just The Ones You Don’t.

#3 Don’t Try To Alter Other Women To Your Standard-Live & Let Be.

#4 Promote The Female Voice.

#5 Let Your Female Relatives/Friends Know That You’re On Their Side.

#6 Never Go After Another Woman’s Man.

A year and a number of nasty messages later, I still have to wonder about the root cause of our dislike for each other. So I find myself asking my advisor-Google for the answer. I share the links to some interesting articles.
